DECEMBER 2002
Well - that's another Club year nearly over and another two exceptional rallies notched up - the Robin Hood Forest Stages Rally and the Danum Road Rally. The disappointments of 2001 with the Foot and Mouth epidemic causing the cancellation of so many events throughout the country, seems more like we dreamt it.
The organizing of the 2003 Stages Rally is well underway and I've included the Event Format page which Geoff Boud has placed on the Robin Hood Forest Stages website.
Due to changes within the company we have lost the Coop Motor Group sponsorship but thankfully now have a new main sponsor from much closer to home. Craig Dykes has kindly stepped in with sponsorship from one of his companies - The Alternative Sign Centre.
We'll need plenty of people to help the event run efficiently so please if you are able to assist on one or both days have a word with Dave James who is acting as Chief Marshal - Off Stage. His telephone number is on the Committee page should you wish to give him a call.
Another end of year issue this time round is membership. I've added a renewal form into the newsletter just in case any of you mislaid the one sent out last month. out to you all. Please return it by mail or hand it in to Ian Beech, with the appropriate fee, when completed.

Competition - there's still time!
As detailed in last months Editorial we need a new front cover design. If you get cracking and submit your entries to me by the 18th December - you're in with a chance of winning either a bottle of amber nectar ( White Horse whisky that is...) or a genuine STORM watch. We've already had some submissions but there's always room for more so get your crayons, scissors and other materials out and have a go !!!

For the coming year I would like to include advance details of the events that any of our competing members are involved in so please, whether it's Stage or Road Rallies, Sprints, Hillclimbs, Karting or the like, drop me a line and I'll add the details into Tappits. |
