June 2003
With your June copy of Tappits you should have received Notification of the 2003 Annual General Meeting, which will be held at the McCormick Recreation Club on 16th July, together with the minutes of the 2002 A.G.M. and more importantly a Nomination Form for the those of you willing to put someone forward for the 2003/2004 Committee.
I personally would like to ask if anyone would be willing to take on the responsibility for the Editors post as future work commitments don't look as though I'll have enough time, or energy, to be able to continue to do the newsletter. I'm sure a change of banter would be welcomed by us all.
We have a few competitive events besides theAutotests coming up during the next few months with the first, Geoff and Sue's Treasure Hunt taking place as this Tappits is published. This fun event will be followed up shortly with another Treasure Hunt which is being organised by Nick Huntridge. Scheduled to be run on the 9th July it will start from an unusual place for a motoring event - Wilf Hobson's Moorhouse Equestrian Centre so Mr Cobb how's about it. Fancy an evening with a difference Nick has included the Pickburn Arms as the final resting place / watering hole.
For the past few years so of us have ventured out to Gainsborough in the late summer to attend and promote the Club at the Gainsborough Festival of Transport. Two of the organisers - Julie and Andrew Cooper - have invited to go along again on Saturday 13th September to Queen Elizabeth's High School. Please if you have the time to come along let me or Dave James know and we'll book adequate ground space to set up and show members cars.

| Many thanks to all of you who recently purchased RNIB Raffle Tickets from me at the recent BBQ. Maureen has passed on details of a fun fund raiser for the RNIB - details of which can be found later in this newsletter. The experience includes driving whilst blindfolded - not for the feint hearted. |

| Hopefully next months edition of Tappits will include some more photos of this fella - as I'm joining Ian on his second 2003 European FISC event which is at the old 1960's Grand Prix Circuit at Montlhery to the south of Paris. We are both hoping the weather is dryer than when I last went with him to Le Mans |
