Welcome to Lindholme Motor Sports Club of Doncaster.

Formed in 1965 by a group of motor sport enthusiasts from the former RAF Lindholme, and still based in Doncaster, LMSC is one of the largest and most active clubs in the Yorkshire region. We specialise in both Stage and Road rallies and autotests but we are involved in lots more activities, particularly on the social side.

During the summer months in addition to a six round autotest championship, we run treasure hunts and barbeques. We have film nights and a quiz championship which we run on club nights, and whenever we can arrange them we have trade visits - the latest being in August, when members visited Msport in Cumbria.

If any of this interests you, please feel free to come and meet us on club nights. We meet on Wednesday evenings from 8.30pm at the Co-op Social Club, Brunel Road, Off York Road, Doncaster, DN5 8PT.

Lindholme MSC's Danum Rally will re-appear in 2010 on a new date, a month earlier than its usual slot. A new organising team has been formed, and has met three times under the chairmanship of Len Fowkes as Clerk of the Course.

A Clubman permit rally will again run alongside the National B event. No competition licence is needed for this, and extra help will be given on the navigation.

LMSC is delighted that Sasha Heriot and Jeremy Wickins of Rotherham MC have joined the team, as Secretary of the Meeting, and Chief Marshal respectively. More details of other Officials will be found on the appropriate page.

Confirmation of Championships involved will follow shortly, as Co-ordinators settle on their calendars for next year, but we are hopeful of inclusion as a round of the same Regional Association and Recognised Group series as the successful 2008 event.

These Include:

  • ANEMMC
  • ANCC
  • AWMMC
  • ANWCC
  • TSMG

Present plans involve a Start in the Doncaster area, with easy access from motorways. The route will be predominantly based on map 105 - a departure from recent Danum routes. It will also feature maps 111 and 112.

More details of the event format will be posted as the organisation progresses. The rally will finish west of Selby - near to the A1(M)
